China trials for WC

The results from the first control matches of the preparation of Chinese table tennis nationals for the World Championship in Paris are known. Here are the results:

Orenburg won the Champions League

Orenburg with Ovtcharov and Samsonov won for the second time the table tennis Champions League. This time the success came very difficult and the scored points difference decided the winner.

Chartres won the second match against Orenburg with 3:1 (9:6), but on the first match in France the win was for the Russian team, again with 3-1 games, but with a difference 10:7.

So, at the end the total number of scored points made by the Russians was decisive. Orenburg’s players won the title because they have made four points more in the match 315:311.

Ochsenhausen is closer to the final in the Bundesliga

Ochsenhausen won against Saabrücken with 3-0 in the first semifinal match of the German table tennis Bundesliga and almost secured its place to the final. In the rematch Ryu Seungmin and company need only a win to qualify for the last meeting before the title.

Boll and Borussia lost the first semifinal in the Bundesliga

Borussia Düsseldorf lost the first semifinal of the table tennis Bundesliga from Werder Bremen 3-0 and nearly lost all chances for the title in Germany. A single victory or better games difference will be enough for Werder Bremen to qualify for the final.

Orenburg almost won the Champions League

Despite the great efforts of Gao Ning the Russian team Orenburg won with 1-3 the first match of the table tennis Champions League final against Chartres as a guest.

Two major surprises occurred on the first day of the table tennis tournament of the Asian Games. Yan An and Tang Peng lost their matches and Xu Xin was near to a loss, winning 4-3.

Ma Long got the title for China

As most of the people expected, albeit with some difficulties the Chinese team won the World Team Cup. In the final Chinese prevailed against Chinese Taipei with 3-1. The team of China for this tournament was Ma Long, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, Wang Liqin and Xu Xin.
